THE NAADAM FESTIVAL, which includes three manly sports as wrestling, horse racing and archery, is the honored celebration of a national independence and a sophisticated and eloquent expression of nomadic culture. The festival is an outstanding combination of arts and sports that embraces many artistic elements such as dancing, singing and performing. Naadam is also annual gathering that enables nomads to share their news and meet with their old friends. During the festival you will see the grand opening of the Naadam festival which involves Mongolia’s president, celebrities, fashion models, contortionists, and much more. The festival kicks off with a colorful parade of athletes, soldiers, musicians, and people dressed in ancient warriors’ costumes, and then it turns to competitions as wrestling, archery and horseracing. Have your mandatory bite of Naadam khuushuur, a traditional Mongolian food, for lunch.
Day 1:Chinggis Khan statue & Terelj national park

Then we will explore Turtle Rock and visit the Meditation temple where you will enjoy the quietness and beautiful view of the park. In the late afternoon you will be taken to a nomadic family where you will get a taste of their way of life and experience authentic nomadic culture. After a warm conversation with family you will be taken back to the city.
