Overview
Mixed Short Tour provides you with a lifetime opportunity to see as much as you can in a short period of time. This itinerary takes you through variety of aspects as nomadic culture, wildlife, historical sites, sightseeing and contemporary life of modern city within just a couple of days.
Day 1: Early in the morning hit the road to Chinggis khan statue complex. On the way we will stop to see a vulture and eagle, to hold them on your arm, and get some awesome photos taken. Then half an hour later you will visit the giant statue which is located in a vast plain with 360 degree view of the surroundings and explore the statue complex.
Then head for Terelj National Park where we will have hearty lunch in cozy restaurant. Then we will explore Turtle Rock and visit the Meditation temple where you will enjoy the quietness and beautiful view of the park.
Next drive to a nomadic family where you will be warmly welcomed to true nomadic culture. In the afternoon you will be involved in their everyday activity. Enjoy helping the family produce dairy products such as cheese and herd hundreds of livestock as horse, cattle and sheep.
In late afternoon you will be taken into heart of Khustai nature reserve, motherland of wild horses – Takhi, where you will enjoy the quietness and breathtaking scenery of the nature reserve while seeing the Takhi and red deer. Also there are dozens of wild animals as wolf, fox, marmot. You will witness the marmots playing around or fighting each other before we finish the day. Have real Mongolian cuisine with warm conversation and experience Mongolian summer night in traditional dwelling, ger.
Day 2: After fresh local breakfast, you will take a horse riding in vast open steppe where you will find only your shadows, and maybe a herd of horses. After a hearty lunch with the family you will head back to Ulaanbaatar.
In the afternoon you may choose to visit one of those magnificent museums or the glamorous Gandan monastery. You can also do shopping at the market where you find everything or do cashmere shopping as Mongolia is the second largest cashmere producer in the world.

There was not much information about them online, so first we hesitated a bit but in practice they were the best. They customized the itinerary for us and during the trip the guides were so caring and helpful. Horses were nice and calm and the guide always told us local stories which was quite interesting. Horse guide cooked the food for us, to be honest he wasn’t a good cook but we were fine. Overall, this agency is a good company to travel with, will highly recommend.

Booked a 2 day ger stay and had a horse ride in Hustai National Park with a family. Pick up from where I was staying was extremely prompt. Beautiful tour... read more of the countryside, and the guide was excellent and very friendly. The coordinator, Nyamka, answered all of my questions leading up to the tour. The food during the stay was good and the host family was very kind.
I would definitely recommend a ger stay with the company to my friends and others in my network.

We did an 8 day Gobi tour with Nyamka and a 10 day North Mongolia tour with his brother Baaska. Both of them are very nice, considerate and good hearted... read more people. The tours were well organised and we had a great time. Nyamka speaks excellent English and provides interesting cultural and historical information about Mongolia. Baaska is so sweet that threw a small surpise birthday party for us 🙂 Their tours are flexible and custom made. Highly recommended!!

Booked a 7 day gobi tour. Bagage came a day after, so we had to reschedule. That was no problem, solved our problems. Baaska (guide) and Munkhuu (driver) did not... read more only took us to the beautifull landscapes in Mongolia, but also were great company, all day long. We played cards, did karaoke, sung all day after the radio broke down. We even had the luck to experience a real mongolian birthday in one of the Gerstays! Thanks to them we had the full experience!
