Day 1: Early in the morning hit the road to Chinggis khan statue complex. On the way we will stop to see a vulture and eagle, to hold them on your arm, and get some awesome photos taken. Then half an hour later you will visit the giant statue which is located in a vast plain with 360 degree view of the surroundings and explore the statue complex.
Then head to a nomadic family where you will be warmly welcomed to true nomadic culture. Have authentic Mongolian meal for lunch and in the afternoon you will be involved in their everyday activity. Enjoy helping the family produce dairy products such as cheese and fermented mare’s milk and herd hundreds of livestock as horse, cattle and sheep.
In late afternoon you will be taken into heart of Khustai nature reserve, motherland of wild horses – Takhi, where you will enjoy the quietness and breathtaking scenery of the nature reserve while seeing the Takhi and red deer. Also there are dozens of wild animals as wolf, fox, marmot and wonderful burial site with standing stones as well as a magnificent deer stone. You will witness the marmots playing around or fighting each other before we finish the day. Have real Mongolian cuisine with warm conversation and experience Mongolian summer night in traditional dwelling, ger.
Day 2: After fresh local breakfast, you will take a horse riding in vast open steppe where you will find only your shadows, and maybe a herd of horses. After a hearty lunch with the family you will head back to Ulaanbaatar.
In the afternoon you may choose to visit one of those magnificent museums or the glamorous Gandan monastery. You can also do shopping at the market where you find everything or do cashmere shopping as Mongolia is the second largest cashmere producer in the world.
In the evening you will admire the traditional cultural performance which includes Mongolian throat singing, contortion, and traditional music instrument etc. After the performance you will be driven to your hotel.

Me and my friend just came back from the MOST WONDERFUL trip in Mongolia - from the 26 th of july until the 5 of aug 2018. We travelled with... read more True Mongolia Travel and the manager Nyamko was our tourguide - from day one. He is professional, english speaking and so NICE, cool and easy going. Write him on this adress: freelance.guide.mongolia@gmail.com - and I'm sure you will be able to plan an extraordinary trip with him. I wrote mails with him before I arrived in Mongolia, and then we met when we arrived in Ulan Bator.

My friend and I, we are from Thailand did fantastic 8 day horse riding in central mongolia. We learned about them on tripadvisor and tried to find out as much... read more as possible about them as it was very important trip for us. There was not much information about them online, so first we hesitated a bit but in practice they were the best. They customized the itinerary for us and during the trip the guides were so caring and helpful. Horses were nice and calm and the guide always told us local stories which was quite interesting. Horse guide cooked the food for us, to be honest he wasn’t a good cook but we were fine. Overall, this agency is a good company to travel with, will highly recommend.

My wife went to Mongolia for work and took two day tours with Nyam suren. He picked up on time from airport and for the tours.
She... read more did the city tour and tereji tour. Both were interesting and good value for money.
She did horse riding on the tereji tour, which was good.
Happy to recommend for other travellers.
Only thing to watch for is that museum is closed on a Sunday so better to do the city tour another day.
